BLANKAKU, WHERE IS THY STING
Yeah, its being a long time from FPL stories but one thing fantasy league's will not forget in a hurry is the woe we suffered in the hands of Everton's "top" marksman.
Ahead of the flurry of doubles towards the end of the season, there was a lot of planning, quite a lot and as usual in my competitiveness, i took my time to meticulously plan it all - figuring wildcard plans, transfers, chips to be used from game week 33 to game week 37, it was all going perfectly until i bought LOLkaku and the team went bleak...yes, i sold top scorer Harry Kane for 4 games in 2 weeks TROLLkaku and to add to it, I and many people who "planned" and prepared "better" than the casuals.
First game, welcome watford and the leader of gameweek 33 captain poll took our hopes for a rise to the driers then repeated the feat against crystal palace in the midweek affair. It was horrible but more horrible was the fact that he choose to get injured thereby forcing us to transfer him out earlier than a lot of us anticipated!
PLAN 1 DESTROYED! oh i haven't even told you the koko, i planned to captain Sanchez in my all out attack chip in GW32 ahead of my wildcard...guess what? network didn't let me and his 14 (28) poits just sat smiling on my wonderful bench!
PLAN 2 DESTROYED! It became worse when i forgot to confirm my bench boost plans for GW34 and then my week long wailing started pretty early on..yeah, its still painful!
PLAN 3 DESTROYED! With the injury to Lukaku, i was faced with the choice of a new striker to buy, first choice was unarguably Sturridge, oops i was 0.8 short and i wasnt sure Origi was gonna start the two games. Next up was a head to head between Caroll of westham and Welbeck of arsenal, i reasoned that the former had ablank in GW35 and that might cause issues plus he was facing one of the best defenses in the league in Leicester with their two tall centeer backs, straight in went the more expensive Danny Welbeck.
My choice was being justified when Caroll was picked on the bench but then he came on and scored, repeating the feat in the midweek game against watford while Welbeck produced a solitary assist against palace and was benched against westbrom...i'm wailing!! deeply!!
PLAN 4 DESTROYED! This will be short, i have a lot of h2h competitors and classic rivals with triple captain Sanchez so despite him being my captain, i wish he wouldn't perform but naa, he has hit 3 goals already in the two ganes and his advantage is ruined!!
Oh, and my Rojo, Coutinho, Martial and Lovren were benched in a game each, ruining my points total, well, second triple figure haul means its not that bad a gameweek.
