Fantasy Premier League- How to pick your squad - GOALKEEPERS
Okay, it isn't new knowledge that the 2016/17 fantasy premier league site is live. now the hard part of picking a nice 15 man squad begins. for those who haven't played the game before, give it a try at fantasy premier league and you will be in for a super exciting premier league season.
For the newbies, you have to pick a squad of 15 players where 11 will start and 4 including a goalie will be on the bench.
How to pick your squad
With £100 available, you have to be very careful as you will have only one free transfer per week once the season starts.
The goalkeepers
There are many ways to pick the goalkeepers. the most expensive goalkeepers cost £5.5 (Courtois, ddg, cech, hart, lloris) then there are 5.0(Robles of Everton, Kalas/Mignolet of liverpool, Schmeicel of leicester, forster, butland, fabianski, adrian) then the rest are 4.5. The only starting keeper at 4.0 is jakupovic of hull who has an injured first choice.
1. The fixture rotators.
These are usually cheap goalies that have either perfect home and away rotation throughout the season (rotation to be updated later) or have easy fixture rotation whether home or away. They are usually 4.5-4.5 or 5.0-4.5 options.
This is the most popular goalie pairing format and worked excellently last season with Butland(stoke at 4.5) and Myhill(westbrom at 4.5). Many rotators have appeared and we will talk about them later.
2. One team shop.
This is the least used format. It means picking both goalies from one team notably for having many save points (stoke, everton, erstbrom, newcastle from last season). This method insures you from injuries, suspensions and substitutions as youre always certain to have a playing goalie.

3. The Main Man
This is another popular format and to me the best out there,
it is a format that I use. You simply pick one premium goalie who is your first
choice (usually £5.5) and a cheap sub keeper who will only play when your first
choice has really bad fixtures. De gea and Hennessey last season were a perfect
example of this combo. One huge advantage is that you have no selection
headaches as your premium goalie is almost always selected apart from very few
games.
One thing to note is do
not spend more than £10 on your goalkeepers as positions further forward are
more expensive and you can only play one goalie at a time so there must always
be a wasted goalie points. Just ,make sure it’s the smaller points that are
wasted.
Thanks for reading and ill be glad to answer any questions
needed.
