REVIEWING THE BOTS VS EXPERTS ARTICLE GW22
Good morning and welcome to the review of our bots vs
experts’ article. These review(s) will
help us determine if the bots options are preferable to the experts or if human
judgement trumps their call. It will also help us keep track of the performance
of these sites over the course of the season.
FFFIX came in
with a perfect 2/2 on the goal keepers, 4/5 on defenders, 3/7 on midfielders
and 1/5 on forwards to give a marginally better 10/20 or 50% correlation rate.
FFASSIST had a 0/2
on goalkeepers, 4/5 on defenders, 2/5 on midfielders and 1/3 on forwards to place
second with a 7/15 or 47% correlation.
Mixing the trio, the modal BOTS TEAM gave a 2/3 on goal keepers, 3/5 on defenders, 2/7 on
midfielders and a 1/5 on forwards to give the highest score of 8/20 or 40%
correlation.
With no premium striker scoring both last week and this
week, the bots were let down by their picks with only FFFIX reaching 50%.
For the experts, FFSCOUT
turned in 0/1 with their goalkeeper slot, 2/3 with their defence slot, 1/5
with the midfield slot and 0/2 with the forwards giving a horrible 3/11 or 27%
correlation rate.
There was no modal EXPERTS
TEAM as the geeks didn’t turn in
Finally, the CONSENSUS
TEAM had a 0/1 on goalkeeper, 2/3 in defence, 1/5 in midfield and 0/2 with
the forward picks to give 3/11 or 27% correlation.
Interestingly, all our honourable mentions who were ignored
due to price limitations returned points this week.
From the data, the bots were the winners this week though
both were poor which is understandable considering that the gameweek average
was 47points.
See you next week for another episode and remember to drop
your opinions on tips to make this piece even more useful.
