MY FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE ANGER

Image
More than 3 million people play FPL. Many people have more than 1 team and many see FPL as fun. For a super competitive guy like me who hates loosing, i take FPL as serious business. About 5 weeks ago, i was one of the lucky ones who captained Aguero in his 25 point haul! unfortunately and true to his character, he got injured during the international break and was out for 7 man city matches. Fast forward 4 weeks and with Bony injured, and Aguero back, many people were ready to rip their squads up to accommodate by far the most expensive and explosive player in FPL. I hesitated, for many reasons

ANALYSIS QUALIFYING SCENERIOS IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

How teams can qualify GROUP E Barcelona: Qualified as group winners. AS Roma: Will qualify with a win at home to BATE as they hold the head to head over Bayer Leverkusen. A draw will also be enough if Leverkusen fail to win. Bayer Leverkusen: Must win at home to Barcelona to stand any hope of qualifying. If they do win, they have to hope Roma fail to win at home to BATE. BATE Borisov: Must win at Roma and hope Leverkusen fail to beat Barcelona. GROUP F Bayern Munich: Qualified as group winners. Olympiakos: Need a point at home to Arsenal to qualify. A defeat of 1-0 or 2-1 would also see them finish ahead of the Gunners on head to head away goals. Arsenal: Must win at Olympiakos. Arsenal would need to win by two goals, or a one-goal victory margin of 4-3 or higher, to climb above the Greek club on head to head points. If Arsenal were to win 3-2, then head to head would be level and it would go down to overall group goal difference -- which is guaranteed to send the Gunners th

ANALYZING THE AGUERO CONUNDRUM

Image
We FPL managers always like to have the player that will score those hit points each week but when year after year, we know that player who can deliver the points on a regular, then it will be strange not to have him in your team...when fit. That then becomes the problem, fresh from 5 goals and a 25 point run in GW10, Aguero picked up an injury in the ensuing international break and forced our hands into many rush transfers; many of which have yielded fruit, so his imminent return after this break begs the question: HOW DO WE SOLVE HIS ISSUE  ? SLOW AND STEADY APPROACH This first approach is to me the safest and best. With other strikers in top form, it may not be exactly the best option to rush back on aguero as you could give that a one week to complete your player prise rise and analyze his situation as despite us knowing that he can be explosive, he just returned from injury and a back from injury Aguero may not hit a hatrick against Liverpool especially as he isnt cu

EPL REVIEW - GW11

Image
Leicesters goal form, another arsenal cs  and mourinhos woes continue. CHELSEA'S horrible season form continued as they lost their 3rd home game this season 1 - 3 to LIVERPOOL to give klopp his first EPL victory. chelsea started brightly when RAMIRES scored his first stamford bridge goal since 2013 but 2 superb strikes from COUTINHO turned the tie before substitute BENTEKE finished them off to keep jose mourinhos team in 15th..13 points off the top. Mourinhi though has not been sacked despite rumours that a loss will bring the sack so he will look forward to next weeks meeting with capital one cup conquerors stoke with eagerness.

THIRD AND OUT...WORLD CUP CURSE

Image
When Robin van persie scored the owngoal against czrch, it signified the end of a cycle for the dutch. From flying to head them to great heights in 2014 to falling to score the owngoal in 2015. It was dissapointing! it looked like the worse thing ever to happen but was it? coincedence or fate We took a trip down memory lane to checj it out but surprisingly, ALL third place teams at the world cup since 1982 have been european and intetrestingly, ALL of them bar current world champions Germany in 2006 and 2010, have failed to qualify for the next euro as shown above .
