FIXTURE ANALYSIS IN PICKING YOUR ATTACK

Okay, it isn't new knowledge that the 2016/17 fantasy premier league site is live. Now the hard part of picking a nice 15 man squad begins. for those who haven't played the game before, give it a try at fantasy premier league and you will be in for a super exciting premier league season.

For the newbies, you have to pick a squad of 15 players where 11 will start and 4 including a goalie will be on the bench.

How to pick your squad
With £100 available, you have to be very careful as you will have only one free transfer per week once the season starts.

The Attackers

These are an interesting bunch because unlike the defenders, team coverage might not actually be enough and the prices are spread over a wide range. Also it is most likely that your captains will be coming from here.

If you have spent about £10 for your goalies and £25 for your defence (generally accepted limit) then you will be left with £65 to get 8 attackers (midfielders and forwards)

For the attack, we define budget as costing £6.0 and below, midprice as £8.0 - £6.5 while premium as £8.5 and above. Note that the cheapest attackers are priced at £4.5.

There are too many ways to pick your attackers but for this analysis, one thing we consider is that we will not double up. Its too early in the season to double up with no assurances as to where value lies.


From the fixtures, the top 9 teams with best attacking chances over the first five are
Manchester City (sun, sto(a), wham, manutd(a), bou) with Aguero(13.0), kdb (10.5), silva (9.0). 
  
Tottenham (eve(a), cpalace, liv, sto(a), sun(a)) with Kane (11.0), eriksen and alli (8.5), lamella (7.0)

Leicester (hull (a), ars, swa, liv(a), bur) with vardy (10.0), musa (7.5), okazaki (6.0), mahrez (9.5).  

Chelsea (wham, wat(a), bur, swa(a), liv) with costa (9.5), batshuayi (9.0), hazard(10.0), willian and fabregas (7.5).  

Everton (spurs, WBA(a), sto, sun(a), mid) with lukaku(9.0), barkley(7.5), mirralas(6.5), deolofeu(6.5)

Southampton (wat, manutd(a), sun, ars(a), swa) with long (6.5), austin(6.5), tadic (7.5), Redmond (6.0).

Manchester united (bou(a), shampton, hull(a), mancity, wat(a)) with Zlatan (11.5), Mkhitaryan and martial (9.5).

Middlesbrough (sto, sun(a), WBA(a), cpalace, eve(a)) with rhodes(6.0), negredo (6.5), downing, adomah, fischer (5.5).

Crystal palace (WBA, spurs(a), bou, mid(a), sto) with townsend(6.5) and bolasie (6.0). Watch out for Benteke if he moves here. 

Arsenal (liv, lei(a), wat(a), sou, hull(a)) with Giroud (9.0), sanchez (11.0), ozil (9.5).

These teams will be divided into midfield and attack battles apart from palace. It is then left for you to figure who you would pick from each team based on your budget.

Other options not based on team fixtures include Payet (9.5), carol (6.5), feghouli/tore (5.5 from westham), ighalo(7.5) and deeney (7.0), sturridge (10.0), firmino (8.5), mane (9.0), coutinho (8.0), arnautovic, sigurdsom (7.5).
