CHELSEA: LOOSING AND LACKING!!
When You win the English premier league title and you have a "special" coach who aims to build a dynasty, you should be confident and proud going forward.
So were chelsea fans during the season and they were justified, despite being labelled defensive, or said to "park the bus", they produced some superb attacking results: hitting everton for 6 is a good example.
They showed zeal! in Diego costa, mourinho had found his image on the pitch : pressing, challenging, fouling, restless but calm when faced with the big task...finishing. Raking in 10 goals before anyone else to pick his first EPL goal award.
Former Arsenal captain, also joining from spain showed exquisite control of the midfield, dictating the pace of games and giving 5 assists for costa's first 7 goals. A match made in heaven seemed to have been made! points were counting, so were goals.
Allowed to roam free, Hazard took his game to new heights. Topping europes top 5 leagues for dribbles and coming second in fouls conceeded. He ran and picked pockets in opposition defenses and started all 38 premier league games suppling goals and assists when needed.
At the base, Matic was superb! he bullied opposition, made interceptions and started more attacks than any other DM. his presence gave the defense freedom to clear the little chances that came their way.
Azpi, Iva, Terry and cahill formed the best defense in the league with only Azpi missing out on PFA team. All bombed forward with ease, Iva enjoying the superb work rate of willian ahead of him. Terry played Every minute as he didnt have to move as much as he would normally have also helping him to provide goals applenty at the other end as chelsea had one of the best Cleansheet records.
Fast forward 5 months and its a mess. Changing their jersey sponsors wasnt the worst thing even though many fans were less than impressed. Then came the poor transfer window : sufficient players were not added as only Falcao (on loan), pedro and rahman (both late) were added. Begovic replaced Peter cech who has gone on to keep 5 clean sheets for arsenal.
A loss in the community shield and 1 point at home gotten after 2 games was precedence for failure; Iva had been found out, Terry wasnt convincing and the attack just didnt click! Pedro was brought and it looked like things had changed but Mou failed to see the warning signs.
10 games into the season, Eva caniero, head of medical has already left after a row with mou, Iva has been bullied over again but only injury (thank GOD) made him drop from first team. Courtouis got injured after returning from suspension. Costa was given a 4 game ban after escaping red card vs arsenal, even the reliable matic has been subbed on and off in a single game before being sent off against westham!!
Star man Eden Hazard has spent good time on the bench for not tracking back and rumours are already surfing that Madrid are on aler. Even Mourinho haa beem banned, fined and sent to the stands alongside his assistant.
Nothing is going right! 1 win per month, 5 losses in 10, 11 points gotten, 2 cleansheets, 15 goals conceeded represent the worst title defense stat ever. The unsettlement at the club doesnt make things easier and Mous constant tusske with officials, opposing coaches and media doesnt help hia case.
This is relegation not champions form and Mourinho better perform better vs liveroool else he will be starring another sack in his face!!
